Ryan has always been like a brother to me. More so then my actual brother honestly. He wrote me a note once in 3rd grade and passed it to me. It said “I love you”. When Ray Stover and Marty Calkins spotted it, they started teasing him. So, Ryan snatched the note back, scribbled that out, flipped it over, and wrote “ugly girl” on the back of it. From that day on, it was a love hate relationship between us. Living just a few doors down from me my entire life, Ryan had seen me at my worst as I had seen him at his also. No matter how long we would go without hanging out, we always picked up where we left off because Ryan always made me feel comfortable around him. He got that from his parents for sure. The Hinojosa home was always open and welcoming. I’ll miss you bugging my mom for my share of cookies. I’ll miss you driving by the house honking obnoxiously in your already loud truck. I’ll miss hearing those familiar words “See…what had happened was…” I’ll miss all the laughs we had about me and Sean. I’ll miss the laughs about the cop picking up your dog poo shoe. Ill miss the talks. I told you I wasnt ready to see this day, but your suffering is over now. I’ll see you again someday. Much love amigo. Your forever annoying neighbor girl, DeAnna Lazarock

    Robert, Belinda, and Family,
Thinking of you all in this time, so sorry for your loss.
I will always remember Ryan, growing up playing ghost in the graveyard, coming over to your pool, and the sweaty hugs he would give me after his and Jimmy’s football games. He was like another big brother to me growing up and will be missed.
    Sending my love,
    Jessica Neuman (Porter)

    Ryan,

You and I did not always see eye to eye. However, I considered you my brother for a time, and you were wonderful to Hailey. I loved you for that. You gave Hailey her first bath. She adorned your head with her most recent feeding—a picture I still have to this day. You were loved. You were important. Thank you for teaching me, for being patient with me. I wish you peace dear friend, rest easy. There is no more heartache to endure.

My sincerest heartfelt condolences to the Hinojosa family.
