Bernice K. Sweet age 73 was born on September 9, 1946 in Muskegon, Michigan to the late Charles and Grace Josefowicz and passed away at home on June 22, 2020. Bernice is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles Sweet; two sons, Lauren (Traci) Sweet and Jason (Desiree) Sweet; grandchildren, Zach (Casey) Sweet and Riley Sweet; great grandchildren, Oakley Sweet and Clay Sweet; siblings, Michael Josefowicz and Karen (Bill) Andree. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Maryann Josefowicz. Bernice was retired from Howmet Aerospace. She was a member of the Polish Union, Don Rea VFW Post 8846 Auxiliary and Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1110 Dykstra Road, North Muskegon where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Please wear your masks as they are required during the service at the church. The Funeral Mass for Bernice will also be livestreamed over Zoom using Meeting ID # 554 227 1270 and Password 772078. According to her wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Don Rea VFW Post 8846 Auxiliary.

Dear Bernice. Memories of our time together in Minot, North Dakota, when we were so young and our kids hardly more than babies. . .she will never be forgotten. I wish we’d been closer throughout life because on the few occasions we got together, it was as if we were never apart. God rest her soul, and God love her family. Bernice certainly did.
